1.3 Third-Party Platform Integrations (Social Media APIs)
To provide our core service of scheduling and publishing content, Thinkcast integrates with third-party social media platforms. When you connect an account, we receive:
- OAuth access and refresh tokens: Required to publish content on your behalf. These are encrypted and securely stored. We never see or store your social media account passwords.
- Public profile metadata: Your channel or page name, profile picture, and account ID to identify the connected account within Thinkcast.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide the Service: Generate AI scripts and videos, and automatically schedule and publish content to your connected social media accounts.
- Improve our Platform: Analyze usage metrics to optimize performance, enhance features, and improve reliability.
- Communicate with You: Send important updates, account alerts, publishing notifications, and customer support messages.
- Security & Compliance: Prevent abuse, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-Party API Services & Social Platforms
Thinkcast allows you to connect and publish directly to YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter). By using these integrations, you are also bound by their respective Privacy Policies and Terms of Service.
3.1 Google and YouTube API Services
If you connect your YouTube account, Thinkcast utilizes the YouTube API Services to manage and upload your videos.
- By using our YouTube integration, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
- Data Accessed: We access your YouTube channel information (to identify where to publish) and video management permissions (to upload your Thinkcast videos).
- No Third-Party Sharing: We do not share your Google User Data with any external third parties, nor do we use it for advertising or surveillance. It is strictly used to provide the publishing functionality you request.
- Revoking Access: You can revoke Thinkcast's access to your Google account at any time via the Google Security Settings.
3.2 Other Social Media Platforms
When connecting other platforms, please review their privacy policies to understand how they handle your data:
For all the above platforms, you can revoke Thinkcast's OAuth access at any time through the respective platform's account security or application settings.
4. AI & Content Processing
- AI Generation: We utilize third-party AI models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) to help brainstorm ideas, write scripts, and generate automated video content based on your inputs.
- No Private Data Training: We do not use your private workspace content, ideas, or generated media to train our own or third-party public AI models.
- Isolation: Your AI processing is securely scoped to your workspace and only accessible by authorized workspace members.
5. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We only share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: We use trusted third-party infrastructure providers (e.g., Supabase for database hosting and authentication) under strict confidentiality agreements.
- Social Networks: We transmit your generated content (videos, captions, metadata) to platforms like YouTube or TikTok when you actively schedule a post.
- Legal Compliance: If required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Thinkcast, our users, or others.
6. Data Storage & Security
We take security seriously:
- Infrastructure: All data is hosted on industry-standard cloud infrastructure with robust physical and network security.
- Encryption: Social media tokens, passwords, and sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest and in transit.
- Access Control: Row Level Security (RLS) is implemented at the database level to ensure strict workspace isolation.
